Protege

Terms of Service

Last updated 21 October 2026

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Walkthrough Technologies LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”, “us”), for your use of Protege: this website, the application at app.protege.bot, and the agents and email addresses it runs. If you use Protege for an organisation, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm you may. If you do not accept them, do not use Protege.

The service

Protege gives a business email addresses answered by AI agents, which read correspondence, use the tools the business grants them, and reply. Protege is in development: features will change, and some may be withdrawn.

Your account

Give accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, and tell us at hello@protege.bot if you think your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Protege is for businesses, and you must be at least 18 to use it.

Your content and your agents

You keep every right you have in the content you put into Protege and the mail your agents handle. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only as needed to provide and secure the service, as the Privacy Policy describes.

You are responsible for your agents: their instructions, the tools and data you connect to them, the senders you permit, and what they send on your behalf. You confirm you have the rights and consents needed for the content and connections you provide.

Acceptable use

Protege is for correspondence, not campaigns. You must not use it to:

We record bounces and complaints against the account that caused them, and may suspend sending — or the account — that breaks these rules or puts the service or its mail reputation at risk.

AI output

Agents produce their responses with AI models, which can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. You decide what your agents may do without review, and you are responsible for the consequences of their output. Nothing an agent produces is professional advice from us.

Other services

Protege relies on services we do not control, including AI model providers, email infrastructure, and the tools and accounts you connect. Your use of a connected service is also governed by that service’s own terms.

Fees

Any fees, and how they are charged, are agreed with you before you incur them.

Ending

You may stop using Protege and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop providing Protege — with notice where we reasonably can. What must survive the end of the agreement, such as the sections on liability, survives.

Disclaimers

Protege is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Protege is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and one hundred US dollars.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your agents’ conduct on your behalf, or your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute about them or about Protege is for the state and federal courts located in Florida, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes

We may change these terms. We will post the new version here, change the date above, and tell account holders by email before a material change takes effect. Using Protege after that is accepting the new terms.
